Fatherhood Friday: Season I Week I

Joe Schatz Categories // Being a Dad

Welcome to the beginning of the first season of Fatherhood Friday at DadExchange.com. We have created our own propietary link tool, so we don't have to worry about any 3rd party software hosting problems that used to slow us down in the past. Remember to visit all the other participants, tweet #FatherhoodFriday to promote the cause and leave a comment below as a sign of solidarity. Thanks for all those who pointed out the bugs and helped us move out of beta. Have fun and be a good steward of FF.

Fatherhood Friday Beta Part III

Joe Schatz Categories // Being a Dad

Later today--possibly, we will be unveiling the homepage of DadExchange which is sure to provide users with a much easier way to navigate through the site. This will be the last beta version of Fatherhood Friday--next week we take off the beta tags site wide. We would once again like to thank all of you who have kicked the DadExchange tires for us over the last few weeks and helped us figure out where the bugs were and where to focus our attention for the remaining development. Now, onto Fatherhood Friday! Happy Father's Day everyone--enjoy your weekend and have a great time with your families.

Fatherhood Friday Beta Part II

Joe Schatz Categories // Being a Dad

We are actively working on a few things to make the site as user friendly and feature rich as possible. There will be some changes coming in the upcoming week--so stay tuned. Thanks for all the continued support for pointing out the bugs and giving us suggestions. We are still on course to be stable by Father's Day weekend and to celebrate we will be resuming Fatherhood Friday. Some of you have tested our own in house link submitting technology and brand new badge. If you haven't, test it out--leave a link and get yourself thinking about Father's Day.

Fallen Soldier's notes to Wife and Daugther

Joe Schatz Categories // Being a Dad

No more stark reminder can be found for the continuing war in Afghanistan than in the words of husband and father who has passed on. 1st LT Todd Weaver was killed in action in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on September 9th, 2010. He died serving his country and is survived by his wife Emma and daughter Kiley. Todd, like many servicemen, took precaution and wrote letters intended for his loved ones back home.

Emma bravely shared his words with the world on her blog, A Day in the Life, and the result is something remarkable--a universal reminder to all husbands and fathers.
