I was like you once, head on over to http://www.siteground.com/. They have a ton of free templates for 1.0 and 1.5 and are my totally cool Joomla based web host.
What is the best solution for SEF links? Is a third party SEF a better option? I finally got the default Joomla SEF to work but the way links are rendered for the articles on the front page is creating an odd problem that causes some of my modules to not show up. Also when I click on my create an article link the WYSIWYG edit form is either under or over some of the modules. Part of my problem with the WYSIWYG may be my Template or CSS. The modules if I select the option to show them on every page they seem to work fine. As soon as I choose which pages for them to be on they start giving me trouble.

I am SOO happy with my Joomla build! The header grapgic changes between night and day depending on your PC clock. And it changes according to the season. You can change the season header via the display control panel on the top right of the screen at http://www.incoloradonow.com . Too cool! Check it out! Me likes Joomla and all it's JooJoo!
