We have one autographed copy of Pacify Me: A Handbook for the Freaked-Out New Dad by Chris Mancini to giveaway. Please visit Book Dads to enter.
Pacify Me is a book for expectant and new fathers that derives its unusual charm from an unexpected combination of two very different elements. The first is tongue-in-cheek-but-you-know-it’s-so-true humor, and if this were all that was to be found in Pacify Me, then there would be little to distinguish it from the number of other books of wry and entertaining reflections on modern fatherhood. Yep, I've been a subscriber for over 10 years and it's still my favorite magazines. The writing, non fiction and fiction is great and I love the cartoons and the caption contest. I once came close to winning (my caption was the winner but I sent it in too late) and it was one of the biggest thrills of my life. Hmmm, did I just reveal too much about my everyday level of excitement, oh well.

Hey thanks Ciara,
Obviously I don't visit here often enough to see wall posts. )-:
We didn't win, but it was kind of cool to get nominated.

Hey all you dads that read... I found a great website that I wanted to share with you. It's called OneMoreStory.com - One More Story is an online library of the best of children's classic and contemporary literature. Through a simple point and click process, children can choose a book, see the illustrations and have the book read to them whenever they want. Now wait a minute... I know what you're thinking. YOu don't want a computer to read to your children. WE WANT TO DO THAT. And I agree. 100%. But this is a site that you can navigate with your children and can help make reading fun... and it's something they can do when you're not home and they can share their favorite book with you. One More Story also offers the "I Can Read It" mode for beginning readers. Just thought I'd share. Enjoy.
